Crafting Like Crazy

I have been a busy bee, making all kinds of fun stuff. I am hosting my Bunco group for October, so I decided to make favors. I saw these little cones in a Micheals idea flyer, and decided these would be perfect for bunco. They were not as easy to make as one would think. Anyway, they are done and now I have to find some fun candy to fill them with. Chad found me a great branch and I am going to spray it black and stick it in something and hang the cones from it. I will add a Photo of the finished project.

The next thing I made was these cute flower pins, I made them out of vintage feed sac and love how they turned out. I got some fun fall fabric to make more. I think they are a darling addition to any coat.

I also got a bee in my bonnet to make this cute Aline shrug jacket. I love the green plaid it is great for fall. the jacket is much cuter on, maybe I'll get Chad or one of the girls to take a pic of me in it.

One of the other fun things I made are these darling knitted pumpkins, they were super easy to whip up and darling for fall.

The sweetest sound

My little man finally decided to say "Mama", it was the sweetest sound. He has been saying "Dada" for over a month, so this was very exciting, being that I am the one who spends every moment of his precious life caring for him . Yes, I do know that some day I will dread hearing "mam" for the 67th time that day, however today I am enjoying it!

I got this at a garage sale recently and I Love it, the Frame is vintage and very heavy. I love the pearls and the fact that someone spent all that time making it. After I clean the velvet I have to find the perfect place to hang in my all ready full house! By the way it was a whole dollar, to me this was a steal of a deal, however you may not agree.

Me and my Hubby

My disaster of a studio

As you can see I have totally let my studio get out of control. The summer has kept me busy with kids activities, vacations and entertaining my little man. My biggest problem is getting inspired and getting out all my supplies and then its time to take one of the girls to some activity or another.

Lots of ideas and half finished projects and no time and this is what I ended up with. So tomorrow is the day I am going to get this organized so I can get back to sewing and crafting and maybe see the floor again.

Wish me luck!!!!

Hexagon Knitted Purse

I finished this purse about two weeks ago while house boating on lake shasta. I saw this exact purse in a knitting magazine and decided I had to make it because I love the color and shape I still need to line it which is my least favorite part of the project. I can hardly wait to use it, just waiting for the weather to cool off a little more.

Wall Paper Removal

I Got a bee in my bonnet and decided to remove the wall paper in my dining room. I put it up 5 years ago and still think it is lovely, but it hinders me from using fabulous table cloths because the wall paper is so busy. So yesterday while the girls were at school I started the tedious task of removing it. I decided i needed help and being that I have kids why not put them to work. They of course thought peeling the paper off the wall was great fun! So today was day two of mission wall paper removal and they each had a friend over and their friends also thought it was great fun to peel the paper off the wall. Who knew such a hideous task could be fun:)
